A bad Period

On Day 1 of her period, Sydney mother, Maggie, discovers her husband is having an affair. Her world unravels over the next 28 days as she tries to navigate a series of calamities that affect her and those she loves. It's a bad period, to say the least.

Maggie doesn't have great work/life balance - hell, what full-time working mother of three does? Work needs extra attention and so do her kids. Her marriage needs CPR. Her tight group of best friends are usually there to lean on, but a life-threatening illness trumps her own marriage woes.

Experiencing life as a single mum when her philandering husband goes AWOL, Maggie questions whether she can forgive him and keep their family together. Or can she create a fairytale ending to her marriage without damaging her kids?

And why hasn't she noticed that a work colleague is attracted to her? As her sweary internal voice would say, 'For fuck's sake!'

Maggie has an honest and sometimes humorous take on love, infidelity, friendship, parenting, work and death - while trying to hold it all together during a bad period.
